
Lothians Bat group is the local bat conservation organisation for Edinburgh, Midlothian, East and West Lothian. The group is affiliated to the Bat Conservation Trust. 
Activities include attending local shows and events to promote bat conservation and leading autumn bat-walks for the public. Conservation activities carried out by members include the annual maintenance and checking of bat boxes across the region, summer roost counts, winter hibernation surveys and taking part in the National Bat Monitoring Programme surveys.
